Cleaning Up the Freeport Beach and Jetty

This was an impromptu solo beach cleaning action when my family visited Surfside Jetty County Park, Freeport. In the park, there is a 0.6 mile long jetty perfect for salt water anglers. However, a lot of trashes were sometimes left behind including fishing lines/hooks, plastic bags, drinking bottles, etc. Such sights are certainly an eyesore to the tourists and everyone else; the more terrible fact is that they are deadly to marine creatures, ultimately poisoning us. So my family decided to pick up the trashes and clean the jetty. We were so excited and encouraged to see that all anglers and tourists cooperated very consciously and many actually joined our cleaning effort to keep the jetty and the park beautiful and healthy.
